Pastor J. Russell Harris is a dynamic and revelatory preacher for our times, unashamed and unafraid to operate in the power of the Holy Ghost.

 

Hailing from Tarboro, NC, Pastor Harris travels extensively, spreading the message of Christ. Many have been blessed by the miracles, signs, and wonders that follow his ministry. He is deeply grateful for the souls saved, healed, and delivered through his efforts.

 

Raised by his mother, Patricia Harris, Pastor Harris's roots are in the Primitive Baptist Church and the United Holy Church of America, the oldest African American denomination in the United States. This upbringing instilled in him a profound love for God and a passion for His people. Life’s challenges have prepared him to deliver messages of inspiration and breakthrough to both young and old.

 

In 2016, Pastor Harris founded J. Russell Harris Ministries, with a mission to lead people to salvation and deliverance through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of intercession through prayer and praise. He is also the forthcoming author of "Sight Beyond Sight – Seeing Beyond the Present into Destiny."

 

Pastor Harris is not only an anointed preacher but also a gifted musician, with a special affinity for the piano and drums. He has faithfully served as Minister of Music in several churches. In 2021, he was appointed as the E-Campus Pastor at Greater Joy Church, ministering to over 200 members locally and abroad. On October 29, 2022, he was elected as the 14th Pastor of the historic and progressive Salem Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, known as The Place of New Beginnings.

 

Pastor Harris is a 2024 graduate of the North Carolina College of Theology with an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies and will graduate in June 2025, he will be graduating with his Bachelor's in Theology from the same institution.

 

Despite his extensive ministry work, Pastor Harris remains devoted to his first ministry—his family. He resides in Nashville, NC, with his wife, Lotticia Harris, and their two children, Gabrielle Nadette Harris and Ashton James Harris.

 

Pastor Harris is a man of faith who loves God, the Word of God, and the people of God. He prays that through the Word, life will be restored to that which was thought dead, as declared in Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose."
